About Me

she/her
With over 12 years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve been fortunate enough to serve diverse groups, individuals, and communities in NYC and Los Angeles. I completed my graduate degree at Hunter College in New York City and clinical internships in community mental health in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Soon after, I re-located to my home state in Los Angeles, CA where I have been a therapist in practice since 2013.
My clinical experience serving women of color in Hollywood & South LA who’ve survived intimate partner violence and sexual assault, to working with the unhoused community in Skid Row, has allowed me to develop the understanding and skill set to work with trauma survivors.
As a first generation Filipino/Mexican-American, I integrate my own unique cultural background and the experience I have serving vulnerable communities into my work with clients so that the therapeutic relationship is culturally sensitive and trauma-informed. I believe that mental health is political and it is a therapist’s duty and ethical responsibility to understand how a person’s intersectional identities impact their social, emotional, and cognitive functioning with care and compassion.
